2016, What's good?

A new year is well under way and so is TGOS2, the second installment of The Gettin' Off Stage.

And with that said, I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates around these parts, as they say, life gets in the way. Nevertheless, big things are brewing and we are really excited for what's in store.

I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to through this site last year, with the donations collected we were able to do all sorts of rad pro bono outreach, not the least of which was mastering and assembling the physical release of Villain Park's debut Ep. (which you should definitely check out if you haven't!) I plan to update later with a completely transparent breakdown of where the donation money was applied - in the meantime, know that I am overwhelmed by your graciousness and excited to see what we can accomplish together going forward.

Touring continues this year with the strongest start we've ever seen, all shows have been sold out thus far in 2016! Amazing for a group who began touring in 1998 and we owe it all to you.

Lastly, TGOS2 is in the final stages of production and will hit the streets very very soon.

Collaberator Spotlight: P-Muny

Welcome to our first Collaborator Spotlight, an opportunity for us to shine light on the people who have helped us make it to The Gettin' Off Stage.

P-Muny

"Does it ever piss you off to try to find lyrics to something, and you get a gang of sites with no respect for the artist, tons of pop-up ads, no connection to the music, and a bunch of shit wrong? Yeah, me too. I felt that People Under The Stairs deserved better than that. People Under The Stairs deserve more than most; a gang of albums, over a decade of good music, and they're still underappreciated? Weak."

SO - this guy - in an epic act of academic fandom, devoted the next couple of years to transcribing all of our albums and side projects with no help or input from us directly, a task of unfathomable enormity. Like over 400 songs enormity!

So we want to take a second to tip the hat to P-Muny for all of his work and for assuming the roll of chief in charge of the US division of the PUTS Army.

Take a second to check out his site of PUTS Lyrics and salute tha Lyric Man!
